I love nothing better than a simple bake using up bits and bobs and creating something delicious. I always have rolls of pastry sitting around either in the fridge or freezer for when I want to bake something fast, and the other day I had some leftover lumps of marzipan too. I love the stuff and need no encouragement to incorporate it into whatever I’m making. At this time of year I always keep some fresh berries in the fridge as well, because it never hurts to have some healthy snacks to hand when you have teenagers in the house. Combine all these wonderful things and you get something even more wonderful.
